Catholic Charities - Rainscaping
increased green space coming to your community
Two new rain gardens and permeable paving are being installed throughout Cathedral Tower’s grounds as part of an effort to improve stormwater management in the Central West End neighborhood.
Rainscaping uses vibrant natural systems to manage water right where it falls. It offers a more sustainable and holistic approach to stormwater management and will help reduce sewer overflows and pollution to the Mississippi River.
Besides improved air and water quality, these green features increase access to the stress relieving properties of nature and beautify the local community.
