Laurel works on major public water quality infrastructure projects in Seattle, where she develops and implements equity and social justice action plans. She supports communications and public engagement, connects community priorities with project goals and builds partnerships that strengthen adjacent community-led initiatives.

She draws on experience in international development, where she created evidence-based environmental and climate strategies, to help government clients design climate, biodiversity and energy programs that respond to community needs. Her approach combines strategic planning, inclusive engagement and practical problem-solving to advance projects that deliver both infrastructure improvements and lasting community benefits.

Laurel’s career centers on climate action through public governance and engagement. She is committed to embedding climate adaptation and resilience into infrastructure and design projects to strengthen the Pacific Northwest. She holds a master’s degree in public administration from American University and a bachelor’s degree in environmental studies from Connecticut College.
